02 Mimmo Aeroplane Toy by Playforever
Automobiles inspire a particular passion, one that usually begins in childhood. This is especially true for industrial designer Julian Meagher, who creates toy vehicles in collaboration with fellow designer Cameron Treeby for their aptly named label Playforever. The label’s 202 Mimmo Aeroplane Toy is made from ABS plastic, coated with a high-gloss UV layer, and polished by hand for a flawless finish—a sterling homage to a classic that’s suitable for young and old alike.

Rain Humidifier by BALMUDA
Bringing form to fresh air, Japanese label BALMUDA has created the Rain humidifier: a tankless air expert equipped with a digital display to keep track of its water level, current mode, and the room’s humidity—all regulated by a control ring on its rim. Shaped like a traditional Japanese vase, the Rain blends sensuously into any room. Its water basin can be removed to clean, but chalk and minerals won’t cling and an enzyme filter keeps bacteria away. Rounding out all those tech smarts and health benefits with a note of true innovation, the Rain humidifier took home a Red Dot Design Award in 2014—marking it as a true master of air and design.

Olive house
http://www.archdaily.com/576360/olive-house-log-urbis/
Location is on the island of Pag. A house embedded in the southwestern slope on the coast of the Stara Novalja Bay is almost invisible from the sea.
The project highlights the features of the location, such as the southern orientation of the terrain, sea vista, Mediterranean climate pleasant for outdoor living, traditional Pag stone construction, the tradition of using wood for window shades and ship decks, and the indigenous Dalmatian vegetation. At the same time, the concept minimizes the negative features of the location, such as the slope of the terrain and summer sun, as well the exposure to neighbors’s eyes.
Olive House is a house of dualities and contrasts, introverted from the outside, extroverted inside. Simple, compact and closed membrane hides in its interior a glass atrium with an olive tree. This is the heart of the house, the place where the boundary between the interior and exterior disappears. The dominant materials are the traditionally used stone and wood, accompanied neutrally by details in concrete and metal.
Sustainability is planned through several aspects. The low volume of the house incorporated in the slope, the green roof and building materials are environment-friendly. The house is principally south-oriented, and externally protected from the sun. It is a low-energy consumption, class A house that uses renewable energy sources by means of the geothermal heat pump system and solar collectors, as well as LED lighting technology.

IP44 IvyLight
The Light Ivy is a clever lamp that features wire made from strong yet lightweight craft wire. The purpose is to expose the meandering electric wire of this lamp in a creative way. Usually we end up concealing the mess, but this nifty design ensures you have some fun with it. The lamp head rotates 180 degrees, making it the perfect accomplice for direct, indirect, diffused or table lighting. Awesome!
The Ivy Light is a 2011 red dot concept design winner.
